Registration

Where will the conference be held and what is the physical address?

The conference will be held in Utrecht, The Netherlands at the University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMC Utrecht).

When can I register?

Registration opened in mid-March.

What is the cost of registration?

Where is the registration desk located and what are the hours?

SIDM’s Registration Desk is located in the Foyer, on Level 0 at UMC Utrecht.

The registration hours are:
Monday, July 3, 8 a.m.– (9:00 h) and Tuesday, July 4, 8 a.m. – (9:00h)

What is included in the cost of my registration and are meals included?

The cost of registration includes drinks and lunch on both days.

Meals include lunch each day. There is an optional Barbeque Party at the Utrecht University Botanic Gardens on Monday, July 3. You may add this event when you register and pay the 45€ fee.

How do I make changes to my registration?

You can make changes to your registration. Please direct changes to SIDMconference-Europe@improvediagnosis.org.

Can I register for the Barbeque Party at the Utrecht University Botanic Gardens on Monday, July 3 once I’m onsite?

Yes, tickets can be purchased on-site, on Monday, July 3 by 12 pm. The cost of a ticket is 45€.

Can I bring a guest and what is the cost?

Can I cancel my registration?

Yes, you can cancel your registration. Please direct cancellations to SIDMconference-Europe@improvediagnosis.org.

SIDM2023 Utrecht Cancellation Policy

If, for any reason, you would like to cancel your registration, please send a cancellation request via email to SIDMconference-Europe@improvediagnosis.org. Any cancellation requests received before June 3, 2023, shall be refunded, less an administrative processing fee of $75. The fee does not apply to pre-conferences (Only) the full conference registration. All refund requests received on or after June 3 will be forfeited.

Are attendee substitutions allowed?

Attendee substitutions can be requested without incurring a change fee. To make a change, contact the registration team. Substitution requests must be received by June 3 – email the request to SIDMconference-Europe@improvediagnosis.org.

Travel and Lodging

How far is Utrecht from the airport?

The airport is 51 km from Schiphol Airport.View Map

Schiphol Airport has three terminals, all in a single passenger terminal building, making it very convenient for passengers to navigate. The local train station is directly below the passenger terminal, while you can walk straight to the departures or arrivals hall from Schiphol Plaza. Arrivals are on the ground level and Departures are on the second level, with stairs leading up to the Top level, housing airlines lounges and other amenities.  Unlimited free WiFi access is now available throughout the terminal. Are there special hotel room rates available for attendees?

Conference participants are responsible for contacting the hotel to make their hotel reservations. If you would like to reserve a hotel room, reference the list of hotels under the travel and lodging tab. Reminder: July in Utrecht is a busy month, reserve your hotel room as soon as possible and use the special promotional code.

How do I take public transportation to the conference facility (UMC) and what is the cost to purchase a bus or tram ticket?

Getting to the conference facility, UMC Utrecht is easy to reach by public transportation. The bus and the tram run regularly from Utrecht Central Station to UMC Utrecht. The stop to exit is ‘Science Park.’ Plan Your trip Now.

If I am driving, where do I park?

If you are driving to UMC, proceed to the SatNav parking garage enter 'Bolognalaan 2', and then follow signs 'P UMC Utrecht.' Click here for parking details.

How do I make changes to my hotel reservation?

Once you made your hotel reservations, reference your hotel confirmation to make any reservation adjustments.

How do I cancel my hotel reservation?

If you have an existing hotel reservation, reference the hotel’s cancellation policy to edit or cancel your reservation.

Health and Safety

What is SIDM’s Health and Safety Policy?

SIDM will continue to watch the changing policies in The Netherlands and will monitor the health and safety guidelines by the local Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Reference current information

SIDM is committed to following health and safety measures for conference participants. We will require anyone who attends our in-person event to agree to the health and safety waiver.

Is proof of vaccination required?

No, proof of vaccination is not required.

Are masks required?

Masks are optional.

Will there be onsite COVID-19 testing available?

No, COVID-19 testing will not be offered; COVID-19 testing is not required for this conference.

Will hand sanitizer be available throughout the event space?

Yes, hand sanitizer will be available in designated meeting space areas.

Program

Can I see what sessions will be presented before I arrive on site?

Yes, you can view the sessions by going to the Schedule-at-a-Glance.

How can I attend a pre-conference course?

To attend a pre-conference course, you must register for the course. A separate fee of $53-$65 or 50-61 Euros is required to attend. The pre-conference courses are NOT included with the main conference registration.

Who can attend the Barbeque Party at the Botanic Gardens on Monday, July 3?

All are welcome to attend the Barbeque Party at the Botanic Gardens on Monday, July 3. You must register for this event; the cost to attend is $48 or 45 Euros.

How do I receive CE credits for attending sessions?

In order to receive CE credits for attending a session, attendees will be required to sign in upon arrival at a session and must complete the feedback form at the end of the event.
