Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to those who joined us for SIDM2022 The Future of Diagnosis Conference in Minneapolis, MN, October 16-18. SIDM welcomed more than 300 individuals to this year’s conference, including physicians, nurses, patients, researchers, educators and other healthcare professionals. We engaged with more than 60 speakers during the 50+ sessions and workshops.
In addition to thought-provoking sessions, workshops and pre-courses, attendees also enjoyed SIDM’s ground-breaking patient-centric event, the Patient Summit, as well as our First Annual SIDM Awards Dinner & Fundraiser. All in all, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share, and inspire one another as we work towards excellence in diagnosis.
If you were unable to make it this year, and would like to review any of the sessions, we plan to make those available in the weeks and months ahead. Be sure to mark your calendars for the SIDM European Conference in Utrecht, The Netherlands on July 3-4, 2023 and the SIDM2023 Conference in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 8-11. Stay tuned for more details!

The event gave conference attendees a chance to recognize and celebrate healthcare professionals, patient advocates and other industry leaders for their exceptional advancement and commitment to diagnostic safety, quality and technology.
It also brought these audiences together to enjoy a delicious dinner, live music, and even a little dancing to cap off the red-carpet event.
Award winners were Dan Berg (Patient Engagement Award), Dhara Amin (Emerging Leader Award), and Sue Sheridan (Mark Graber Award for Excellence in Diagnosis).

Helping to kick off SIDM2022, Senator Amy Klobuchar welcomed attendees with a video sharing her thanks to the healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers in attendance working to strengthen diagnostic excellence and improve health outcomes for all.

The in-person screening of the film The Color of Care was a great way to kick off the conference. Produced by Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions, the film reveals the impact of racism on healthcare, serving as an urgent warning of what must be done to save lives.
