Where SIDM2022 will bring together patients, physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, researchers, institutional leaders, policymakers, educators, students, and trainees to highlight and share recent innovations to improve the diagnostic process. As a patients-included event, SIDM2022 also illustrates how including patients and families as a crucial part of the diagnostic team leads to improved diagnostic outcomes. This year’s conference will be live and in-person. SIDM is committed to ensuring participants’ health and safety and following COVID guidelines is a top priority.
On behalf of the Planning Committee,
We look forward to welcoming you to SIDM’s 15th Annual Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine conference, SIDM 2022, in the beautiful city of Minneapolis, MN. We have anxiously awaited this moment to reengage in-person since our last live conference in 2019. We are excited to be together again and remain grateful knowing safety comes first.
The past two years for all of us have been deeply challenging, personally as well as professionally, and as an organization, we have intensified our commitment to establishing SIDM as a catalyst for practice, research, and education in diagnostic excellence. Our theme for SIDM 2022, the Future of Diagnosis, will bring you the latest research and information, and insight in identifying ways we can eliminate harm from diagnostic error through education, research, practice improvement, and patient engagement.
We welcome diverse, dynamic, and leading voices during our plenary sessions, including Drs. Rachel Hardeman, Associate Professor in the Division of Health Policy & Management at the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health, and Kadar S. Mate, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Boston, Massachusetts.
We also look forward to engaging with one another in workshops, scientific sessions, and pre-courses.
SIDM is every one of us and this year’s conference is not one to miss! We look forward to collaborating with you as we seek to teach, connect, and inspire as we work together towards excellence in diagnosis.
