Conference Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe “The Future of Diagnosis,” or anticipated developments in the fields of diagnostic technology, quality, and safety while continuing to explore how disparities and inequalities contribute to misdiagnosis and diagnostic delays.
  • Critically assess the latest findings, pilot projects and new tools to improve the diagnostic process, as presented to the Conference from the areas of research, education, technology, patient engagement, policy, and practice improvement.
  • Participate in building a collaborative international community of diagnostic safety experts, patients included, across the healthcare spectrum.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Med-IQ and SIDM. Med-IQ is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Med-IQ designates this live activity for a maximum of 18.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Med-IQ is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This nursing activity has been approved for up to 18.50 contact hours. This activity is jointly provided by Med-IQ and SIDM.

As a reminder, any continuing education credits must be earned by attending live educational sessions. If an attendee cannot view the educational content live, they cannot claim credit for the session. Watching a video of the session does not qualify for education credit.
